MONTHLY DESIGN FEATURE
Only two years after the Beijing Olympics, China holds another world-renowned event and we can assure that British design will be well remembered thanks to the UK Pavilion for the 2010 International Expo of Shanghai.
THE INSPIRATION
The project, themed "Building on the Past, Shaping our future", also known as ‘Seed Cathedral’, was created by British designer star Thomas Heatherwick and his studio. The designer said he was inspired by the “relationship between nature and cities” and sustainable lighting has been at the core of this project since the very beginning.
THE DESIGN
This ultramodern structure is formed of 60,000 fibre-optic rods, each of which is 7.5-meters long. During the daytime, each of these rods will act like fibre optic filaments, drawing on daylight to illuminate the interior. At night, light sources embedded in each rod will allow the whole structure to glow every night from the 1st of May to the 31st of October.

One of our latest newsletters was dedicated to ARMREVOLUTION’s most iconic creation, Design #10, the ultimate cufflink. We recently discovered that British Conservative Party leader was not wearing any cufflinks for the campaign trail and decided to send him a pair of #10. It has been a busy winter for the ARMREVOLUTION team with the focus being on bringing our luxury designer cufflinks closer to you. Now you can find our cufflinks in London’s West End Couture Lab boutique and a second Lane Crawford store in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, our London based design team have been continuing their quest to deliver the ultimate cufflink producing bespoke versions of our solid designs #5 and #10 in white and yellow gold.

Things We Love
We are getting ready for two of ARMREVOLUTION’s favourite events of the year: the F1 Monaco GP and the Cannes Film Festival. We love these events because many well-dressed attendants choose ARMREVOLUTION as their cufflink brand for both work and play.
